Health
More than two decades ago, ASRI Founder, Dr. Kinari Webb, heard from communities around Gunung Palung National Park that many were forced to cut down trees to pay for medical treatment. This was due to the difficulty of accessing quality health services and the need to travel long distances for treatment. ASRI is here to answer the community's need for health services. With the establishment of the ASRI Clinic, ASRI Foundation seeks to provide quality and affordable healthcare for all community members, so that people no longer have to choose between their health and cutting down trees in the forest. We believe that humans cannot be healthy without a healthy nature. Nature will not be healthy without healthy people.

Replication in Other Forest Areas in Indonesia
ASRI believes that there are still many forest areas in Indonesia that need to be protected. There are still many communities around the forest that need to be strengthened to be able to maintain the forest around them so that it remains sustainable. For this reason, ASRI has begun efforts to identify and assess several locations in Indonesia, including in the Land of Papua. ASRI has also networked with the government and potential donors. Through these efforts, hopefully ASRI can soon bring good practices to Indonesia's critical forest areas and help communities access health services while saving forests.
